The Jewellery Manufacturing Techniques (JMT) program at IIG is a specialized, skill-intensive certification crafted for individuals who wish to master the technical backbone of the jewellery industry. This course goes beyond surface-level fabrication and introduces students to the science of metallurgy, structural integrity, casting precision, stone setting mechanics, and advanced finishing processes that define professional jewellery production.
Rooted in both traditional bench craftsmanship and modern production technologies, JMT develops deep practical expertise in handling precious metals, understanding alloy behavior, executing fabrication techniques, and transforming raw materials into structurally sound, market-ready jewellery pieces.

Gunjan Sapra, COO and Head of the Jewellery Design Department at IIG, is a celebrated designer and educator with over 25 years of experience. She has mentored 2500+ students, blending traditional artistry with modern innovation. Honored with the prestigious Golden Girls Award in 2024, she continues to lead transformative initiatives in jewelry design education, shaping the future of the industry through both online and offline platforms.

My experience in the Jewellery Manufacturing Techniques program at IIG has been truly transformative. The course gave me a clear and practical understanding of the complete manufacturing process—from metallurgy fundamentals and alloying to fabrication, casting, and stone setting.
What stood out the most was the depth of hands-on training. Working at the bench, learning precise soldering techniques, understanding metal behaviour under heat, and practicing polishing and finishing helped me develop both skill and discipline. The faculty’s guidance ensured that every technique was executed with accuracy and confidence. Even though being from Chennai and not knowing Hindi as language, the faculties were extremely supportive.
Along with Masters in Gemology this program not only strengthened my technical abilities but also helped me understand quality control, production flow, and professional workshop standards. I now feel well-equipped to handle jewellery manufacturing processes independently and with precision.
I am grateful to IIG for providing such structured, practical, and industry-relevant training.
