IIG celebrates Valentine’s Day with our jewellery designing students.

Valentine’s Day is celebrated all over the world. This is the day when couples profess their undying love for each other. Valentine’s Day is also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine. It is annually celebrated on 14th February. It has become a cultural and commercial celebration of romance and love.

Valentine is commonly depicted by CUPID the Roman God of Love. The first modern-day advertisement was printed in the 1800s in the USA. The traditional gifts on this day were candy and flowers, esp roses symbolizing love and beauty.

Today it has become inclusive of friends and family to show how much you care and loves them. Gifting jewellery has become a norm and modern women are given lavish gifts prominently diamond, gold and gemstone jewellery symbolising long–lasting love.

The promise of undying love is something to cherish. IIG celebrates all the festivals and theme-based jewellery designing projects are given to students to explore their creativity. Theme-based projects are given to students to encourage them and bring out the awareness of different markets available. It also enables the students to prepare for the upcoming awards. IIG celebrated Valentine’s Day on 14th Feb 2023 with promising jewellery designing students. The designers were given a theme on Valentine’s – LOVE/ CUPID/ HEARTS/ FLOWERS to design. Our students came to the Centre in a celebratory mood by wearing the traditional colour of Valentine’s Day – RED.

The designs created by them were exquisite. They used gold, heart diamond, white gold, clover hearts, love pendants, cupid hearts, and photos wrapped in a heart. The theme was enthusiastically created by our students. The mood board was full of love.

IIG team, headed by Mrs. Gunjan Sapra and faculty members celebrated Valentine’s Day with our CEO Mr. Rahul Desai. The joy and love for creating designs are evident in the photos shared. A cake was cut by our students and the air in the institute was filled with love and gratitude.
