We had a booth at the Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival Zone. Our dazzling presence was a kaleidoscope of light, showcasing breathtaking creations that redefine the future that redefine the future of jewellery.
A radiant gem in the world of education, the International Institute of Gemology (IIG) has once again illuminated the grand tapestry of the Gems and Jewellery Industry. From the 22nd to the 25th of December, we embarked on a glittering journey at the prestigious Jaipur Jewellery Show 2023.
Nestled in the heart of creativity, our booth at the Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival Zone emerged as a beacon of excellence. Imagine stepping into a world where brilliance meets craftsmanship, where tradition intertwines with innovation. Here, at the crossroads of heritage and avant-garde, IIG unveiled a spectacle that transcends the ordinary.

IJ Design Awards – Emerging Designer of the year 2023
In a celebration of creativity and craftsmanship, students from the International Institute of Gemology (IIG) showcased their design prowess at the IJ Design Awards during the Jaipur Jewellery Show 2023 powered by GIA. Among the talented participants, Ms. Poorvi Mehra emerged as the proud recipient of the prestigious title, Emerging Designer of the Year 2023. Her visionary approach and commitment to sustainability set her apart, earning recognition for pushing the boundaries of innovative design. Ms. Mehra, a graduate of IIG’s Jewellery Design Manual Professional Program and Diamond Graduate Program, credited the nurturing environment provided by the faculty for her success. The award not only marked a personal triumph for Poorvi but also reflected the high-quality education and skill development at IIG, showcasing their commitment to excellence in the realm of jewellery design.
Lab Grown Diamond Seminar
At the premier show in the Pink City, renowned for its gemstones and jewellery, IIG was invited to participate in showcasing the latest technology of Lab Grown Diamonds. The company set up a beautifully curated stall for this purpose, displaying practical specimens illustrating the stages of Lab-grown diamond growth patterns. Additionally, a seminar was organized to enlighten attendees about the educational aspects of Lab-Grown Diamonds and their market trends.
Lab Grown Diamond is eco-friendly diamond created in a lab. The lab grown diamond is going to impact the industry over the long run. The awareness about lab grown diamonds is growing in the Indian market and due to environmental issues related to diamond mining, lab grown diamonds are a viable alternative for diamonds. Lab grown diamonds are created in a lab under immense heat and pressure. Two methods are applied: one is HPHT and the other is CVD.
There are around 3000 growers of lab grown diamonds in India. These diamonds are created, cut and polished and used in the homegrown market as well as the export market. It has a huge potential and the people buy them as they are cheap and affordable and they have the same properties as a diamond. It has a huge potential in fashion jewellery.

IIG in collaboration with The Designer’s Class had launched Lab Grown Diamond Identification course, which is powered by Greenlab Diamonds Pvt. Ltd. The Designer’s Class is a platform where students from all over the world enrol online to learn about various courses.
In the realm of Lab Grown Diamonds, Greenlab Diamonds Pvt. Ltd stands as a venerable pioneer. Our fame reached new heights when Shri. Narendra Modi presented a green Lab Grown Diamond to First Lady Jill Biden during his diplomatic mission to the United States.
At the recent Jaipur Jewellery Show 2023, our luminary, Mr. Rahul Desai, unveiled the transformative technology shaping the Diamond Industry. His insightful seminar drew eager students and enthusiasts, sparking a vibrant exchange of ideas.
