IIG collaborates with Shringar House of Mangalsutra Ltd; signs MOU to elevate Next-Gen Jewelry Designers through IIG Designer of the Month Competition

The International Institute of Gemology (IIG), a leader in gem and jewelry education, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shringar House of Mangalsutra Ltd, one of India’s leading Mangalsutra manufacturers. This collaboration introduces an exclusive PAN-India IIG Designer of the month competition for IIG students, offering them a unique opportunity to conceptualize, create, and see their designs brought to life

Real-World Exposure for Aspiring Designers

Winning designs will be manufactured in 22K and 18K gold at Shringar’s state-of-the-art facility, ensuring students gain real-world exposure beyond the classroom. The designs will be judged by an esteemed panel featuring Chetan Thadeshwar, Chairman & MD of Shringar House of Mangalsutra Ltd., Rahul Desai, CEO & MD of IIG, and two leading jewelry retailers (jointly selected by Shringar and IIG). Finalists will have the chance to showcase their work at a grand finale event, with top designers securing paid internships or employment at Shringar, along with sponsorship opportunities. Open to IIG students across all campuses in India, IIG Designer of the Month competition will be a great opportunity for IIG Jewelry Design students.
