(27th June 2022): India’s leading institute of gems, diamonds, and jewellery, IIG has announced its latest collaboration with the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), which has been educating people about gems and gemmology for longer than any other organisation worldwide. It has a global community of gems, jewellery and diamond professionals who have excelled in their respective fields through the high standards of education received at the institute.
International Institute of Gemology as an institute that resonates with high quality of education offered at Gem-A, collaborated with the institute to introduce an all new course, “GemINTRO”, on the basics of gemmology. It is an endeavour by both the institutes to offer a broader and better introduction into the world of gems, gemmology, and gemstones. GemINTRO also covers a broad range of topics related to gemmology and how it can be applied in the different areas of the field of. GemINTRO is also perfect for gemstone enthusiasts and retailers who want to understand more about this exciting, beautiful, and diverse world of gemmology.
Through collaboration, the course intends to develop interest and awareness regarding the field of gemmology for gem enthusiasts and passionate learners. GemINTRO also allows the students to dive into the aspects of responsible sourcing and sustainability of gems. It is a short online course that will offer an incredible learning and introductory experience in the world of gemmology to the learners.
